It is no longer news that the marriage of popular Rhythm FM OAP, Toke Makinwa is going through a turbulent times.For weeks , the news of the 17 months marriage was reported on several social media.

Reports revealed that her husband,Maje, who is a fitness expert, impregnated another lady whom he has been dating for eight years. The said lady, Anita is currently in UK to have the CEO of Edenlifestyle Health Fitness baby.

The former “trend” presenter seems to have gotten over the trauma earlier than what people expected.
Some of her friends and even critics believe the Pay Porte ambassador would be shattered with the news for a long time but she shocked many when she returned to work the following day the news broke and days later she did her usual vlog,a platform where she advices and counsel people on relationship.
Eleven days after her marriage breakup, she was honoured as a You Tube star, a platform where she can talk about her channel and share her growth on you tube as a content provider.
Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida took many by surprise in January 15,2014, when their wedding pictures got circulated hours after the registry part of their marriage was officiated.

Seyi Law: Humour merchant extraordinaire!

Popularly known as Seyi Law, Oluwaseyitan Aletile Lawrence, one of Nigeria’s humour merchants who won AY Open Mic talent hunt show in 2006 has carved a niche for himself in the comedy industry. He spoke about his growing up, thought on the industry, his views on life and marriage among sundry issues. Yinka Lawal reports

 

What is your thought on the comedy industry?

The comedy industry is one of the most united industries in Nigeria. The comedians have learnt to respect each other. The senior colleagues and the upcoming ones respect each other. And [there is] unity among us, which is wonderful. In Nigeria, apart from the music industry, the comedy industry remains the fastest growing.

We have this “ball” and the “ball” is respecting people who have been there before you, giving them honour, when you respect some body, you will definitely get a level of leverage that will amaze people. It is just that we respect each other and we understand that this business deserves that you respect people before you and give them all the honour they deserve

If not comedy, what would you have done?

 I probably would have been a medical doctor. 

Months after marriage,Cool FM OAP,Shine Begho losses job

 

Cool FM On Air Personality,Shine Begho who recently got wedded has revealed she is no longer with the organization .She said that her relationship with the management of the radio station degenerated after two months of her marriage.

 She stated that the management told her to transfer to the sister station in Abuja despite knowing she just got married.

“Things got worse after I got married, less than two months after getting married,I was told to go move to cool FM Abuja.My married life just started! My position wasn’t considered at all even though I begged for management to see reason!”

“It came as across to me me they care about my new life.They said my husband didn’t have a say in this decision and directly told me to choose between my job and my marriage.Of course I choose my marriage! It was not a hard decision to make,I have been taken for granted,I have been stagnant,it was time to make a change”she said.

What has been happening to you all this while?
I have been going in and out of the country. At a time I relocated permanently but I am back to Nigeria now.

A lot has been read about BusolaOke, but how soon do you think you can achieve the feat your Eleyele hit struck?
Everything in life depends on God and the individual’s ability and struggle. For me Busola, I am doing all I can to attain my dream place in this chosen career and to make my fans proud of me and with God all things are possible. I am working very hard to become even better than what is expected of me

What differentiates a gospel artist from an inspirational singer?
An inspirational singer sings reality songs and he or she sings from a natural source; something that will move you or remind you of something that is real, something that will touch your soul and also pass a message but, a gospel artiste is like a minister of God. His or her song might either be preaching the gospel or praising and appreciating God through songs

What does love mean to you?
Love in the real sense of it means a special gift from God because true love is not easy to come by and when, I see true love I really appreciate it because to me, who ever owns or has true love has it all

About Ini Edo’s crashed marriage

It is no longer news that marriage of Nollywood actress, Ini Edo and her erstwhile husband,Phillip Ehiagwina crashed, but recently an insider who claimed being close to them since they started dating till they got married said the actress is a good wife, and took a lot of things most women won’t naturally take.
The source also advised the media to always report the truth and stop painting the actress bad. Below is what the insiders said… “I think Ini Edo was badly in love. Philips was a charmer and, as a human being and deeply in love, she followed her heart. It is so sad that a woman blessed with such a good heart could be treated in such a hurtful manner.

Most people may not know, but Ini Edo is a dedicated and totally committed spouse any man could hope to have. That’s why she endured all she did, for six years without letting the world know the pain she was going through in her marriage. “Ini Edo is very industrious and wanted combined efforts from her husband to get things done. Eventually fights began to occur. The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the house Ini bought in Lekki, a beautiful edifice. “Philips wanted it to be a joint property, but Ini vehemently said no, that she would have none of that. Philips was said to have threatened to move out of their home if Ini refused to put his name on the deed. She stood her grounds and Philips also made good his threat.

He moved out of the house and took up residence with another lady in Accra, Ghana which has been his home for the past six months. All entreaties by family members for Philips to return home were rebuffed; he wanted his name on the deed or no marriage. For three months, Ini Edo did not set her eyes on her husband and he had started flaunting his new girlfriend to spite Ini. Scheduled appointments by her father in-law to resolve the issue amicably were rebuffed by Philips and ini was shocked. “There is no truth to the story that was peddled that Ini Edo was involved in extra-marital affairs. It was Philips who actually did not respect the sanctity of his marital vows. While still legally married, he left his matrimonial home and moved in with another lady in Ghana”. When I contacted Ini Edo and asked her to conform what our source had told us, she said she was done with that chapter of her life and was looking forward to new possibilities. “Ekerete, you were there when we started dating and eventually got married. Does anything that has been written about me, remotely resembles who and what I am about? I wish Philips the best in life”, she said.

Princess on why it’s hard to settle down after her first marriage

Nigeria female comedian, Damilola Adekoya popularly known as Princess recently revealed that it’s been hard settling down after her marriage in 2013, as different men from all over the world are seeking her hands in marriage, stressing that some Chinese too have been approaching her over marriage. She said “Plenty people have been coming from all over the world since the first day my marriage broke up. Even Chinese men too. I don’t know. I don’t understand because it is like they googled and watched my videos and a lot of them have also read about my marriage break up and they will tell me that they had wanted to marry me o! “ She cited the case of a Chinese man who recently proposed to her, “It’s so surprising that even someone who is a Chinese and couldn’t speak fluent English would tell me he has interest but I always ask myself where I would start from. A lot of people from all over the world .I just appreciate them and thank them for asking me out but I made them understand that I want to face my work for now and improve on my art and become a better professional in my chosen field and like I said, wait for what God has in stock for me. But for now, I’m not thinking about marriage.” she narrated.

INI EDO DIVORCE TALE GETS MESSIER

It is no longer news that marriage of beautiful Nollywood actress, Ini Edo to her American based business man, Phillips Ehiagwina has crashed. But the event has taken another dimension as her in-laws threatened to make public some of her dirty dealings while she was still legally married to her husband, Philips Ehiagwina, while also calling her a liar for saying she never cheated on her husband.
A source close to the family said: “Ini Edo should shut up about the marriage crash because with the way she is going; by trying to paint Phillip as the wrong party, we may be forced to open her can of worms and it will not be palatable to her and her career. I can tell you that Ini Edo is a serial cheat who played the field behind her husband’s back for the duration of their marriage. Is she going to deny she was dating one Island big boy whose girlfriend organised her friends to beat her up and injure her? Ini Edo is not as innocent as she is trying to make people believe or think.”

According to the source, they caught Ini Edo on three different occasions with different men and if she dares them, they will mention the name of a South-South governor she had an affair with.

Also speaking on the matter, a close friend of her husband said: “Did she tell you how Phillip embarrassed her in front of her people when he went to collect his bride price? He told her people the kind of adulterous daughter they have and how she had been cheating on him right from the first day they were married. In fact, he did not want to collect the bride price but her people begged him to collect it as that would free her to get married to another man in the future.”

Damola Olatunji’s 1-Year Old Marriage In Trouble

The media was agog weeks back about the crisis in Nollywood actor, Damola Olatunji’s 1-year old marriage. Recently, his beautiful wife revealed how another Nollywood actress named Bukola Awoyemi has allegedly been having an affair with her husband.
The Uk based wife of Damola accused Bukola popularly known as Arugba of wanting to tear apart her marriage, she further divulged how her husband has been living with her in her Magodo home, instead of their matrimonial home.

I am sad, frustrated and I don’t know where to start from, what did I do to deserve this. I gave my all or is it a sin to love someone who claims to love you. Damola and I didn’t have any issue neither did we have any major quarrel just the normal ups and downs that married couples have but I started feeling uneasy few weeks to our Wedding Anniversary when he rarely pick my calls nor reply my sms promptly and will only call me back in the middle of the night. Gist started filtering into my ears that Damola was seeing Bukky but I ignored. But when my husband won’t change I asked him and he denied that the only thing between them is work. Until Damola’s brother’s girlfriend called me to tell me that Damola actually brought Bukky to Osogbo and they went to Damola’s uncle home where she made dinner for him before they went into the room to make love and it started to make sense to me because like thrice in the middle of the night I had seen Bukky’s text messages to Damola saying I miss you, I love you and can’t wait to see you. I allowed it to slide because guys in the industry are in the habit of calling themselves darlings and all.

But when I knew I was in serious trouble was when I came home for our Anniversary and Damola didn’t pick me at the Airport. On getting home, I noticed that Damola had packed all our wedding pictures and all my properties into the guest room. While waiting for him I took a look at his ipad and behold I read his messages with Bukky talking about the romantic getaways, the fact that he does not want me again and he professing love to Bukky.

I was at home for 30days and Damola only slept at home once. Later I heard he was with Bukky in Magodo, then I went to see his parents but got the shock of my life, as they told me pointblank that they would only want what their son wants. All my parents efforts to make peace, has been turned down by his parents. I have not spoken to Damola for over 70days as he neither picks my call nor reply my sms.
Damola whose marriage was consummated last year has been linked to another older actress in the past.

 

 

 

Wedding for Omawunmi soon

Beautiful singer, Omawunmi is finally engaged to the father of her child. After 3 years of dating and having a child together we gathered Tosin Yusuf finally proposed to the the bottom belle crooner. Despite several speculations over whom the father of her three year old child is, Omawunmi kept mum and never gave in to pressure until couple of months when she revealed the name of the man.

In late 2013,Omawunmi released the blurry picture of her nuclear consisting of herself, her child ,Emmanuella and Tosin Yusuf with inscription “Thank you so much for your patience. Clearer photos and good news sooner than you know. God is always good”. And like the singer said, Omawunmi Magbele and Tosin Ibrahim Yusuf will walk down the aisle soon.

Iyabo Ojo speaks on first marriage

Beautiful actress, Iyabo Ojo, has admitted that her foremost marriage crashed due to lack of maturity, which she has grown to identify and make amends. The producer of Arinzo stated further that she had to walk out of her first marriage because it was becoming something that could affect the future of her children and career. “It was not an easy decision but I had to take it because it was getting to a point that I was not finding fulfillment in the marriage, so I had to move on with my life.”

The mother of two accepted that it took her time to resolve into what she actually wanted because she needed to be sure she was not about making another mistake.
She added that “I went through a lot before falling in love again. I had to wait because I wanted to be sure it was the right move. My kids are growing up and I don’t want to tell them stories that touch the heart. My man has been a blessing to us all. I am happy that I made the right decision. My career is on point and you can see what I have done in the last two years. Those things would not have been successful if my man didn’t stand by me”.
