It is no longer news that the marriage of popular Rhythm FM OAP, Toke Makinwa is going through a turbulent times.For weeks , the news of the 17 months marriage was reported on several social media.

Reports revealed that her husband,Maje, who is a fitness expert, impregnated another lady whom he has been dating for eight years. The said lady, Anita is currently in UK to have the CEO of Edenlifestyle Health Fitness baby.

The former “trend” presenter seems to have gotten over the trauma earlier than what people expected.
Some of her friends and even critics believe the Pay Porte ambassador would be shattered with the news for a long time but she shocked many when she returned to work the following day the news broke and days later she did her usual vlog,a platform where she advices and counsel people on relationship.
Eleven days after her marriage breakup, she was honoured as a You Tube star, a platform where she can talk about her channel and share her growth on you tube as a content provider.
Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida took many by surprise in January 15,2014, when their wedding pictures got circulated hours after the registry part of their marriage was officiated.

On Segun Ogungbe alleged paternity.

 

The report making rounds reveals, popular Nollywood producer cum actor,Segun Ogungbe impregnanted his wife’s best friend known as Omowunmi Ajiboye. Omowunmi we gathered is an upcoming actress under his tutelage.

Sources claimed the actor who’s still married to his first wife, Atinuke Ogungbe, has allegedly married the said lady secretly and the two are already blessed with a new baby.

The source wrote, who spilled the news wrote, “Omowunmi Ajiboye, you are such a bad friend to have a baby for your best friend, Atinuke Ogungbe’s husband. You guys are turning this world to something else; anyway, it’s not a big deal to you but you are a disgrace to all Yoruba girls and to the film industry. Both of you need to be expelled from the film industry. Segun Ogungbe is a silly idiot to have impregnated his wife’s best friend Omowunmi who squatted with Atinuke for several months in Abeokuta; both of you are disgrace to the film industry and to the whole nation. “Mr Ibi Giga you are such a heartless and shameless man. Your movies are one of the best of mankind, but you don’t learn from what you are teaching the public. If you, Mr Segun Ogungbe Olusola think your fans are silly like yourself, you are getting it twisted; you are a disgrace to the film industry.

Segun Ogungbe is one of the fore-most movie producers in Abeokuta. He has released movies like, Ibi giga,Apileko, Monday Omo adugbo among others.

Wedding bell tolls for Ajimobi’s second daughter.

Recently, the pictures of one of the daughters of Oyo State Governor, Ajimobi were circulated on the internet.

Ajibola Ajimobi got engaged at her birthday party and friends and associate of the lovers were present at the event. An exclusive engagement party was said to have been held for the love birds on Sunday June 14, 2015.

She had planned to hold her birthday that fateful day and the event turned into a two in one affair for her with her sister, Bisola who was instrumental in planning the proposal. Mid way into the celebration, Ayo popped the question.

Ayo, the to be son-in law of the governor who we gathered is based in Abuja is said to have studied Law and he is son of a former judge. Ajibola was said to have been in a relationship but it collapse, ever since has been conservative about her love life until fate crossed her part with Ayo

Sources say both families are excited about the upcoming nuptials, though the date is the guarded.

When did your love for journalism started?

I have been a sport journalist since 1987; I started with a print media though I have been in TV for years now. I started with Guardian immediately I left the Nigeria institute of journalism (NIJ). I found everything interesting and very different from what I was used to. I enjoyed it so much because I was travelling to lot of trips, not so much money but we enjoyed it.

Along the line Chief Alex Akinyele, a former minister of information got a government appointment and I became the Chief Press secretary; it was a National Reconciliation Committee, I went to Abuja and later came back to Lagos. I was head of sport at Channels TV and after I left Channels TV, I stopped working for anybody, since then I have been on my own.

You started with as a print person, how did you venture into TV?

The start of me going into TV started in 1994, I was one of the few people who got accreditation to cover the 1994 world cup in USA, but when I got to the embassy I was refused. They felt because I was not married and too young, I won’t come back. Then I was the Nigeria correspondent for African soccer so I called Emmanuel Maradas and Chief Akinyele but I was still refused. It was devastating that I won’t cover the world cup. So I got a video and I recorded every minute of the world cup that was how TV started. Being on TV was completely different from print media, later I went to UK to be Head of Sport for BEN TV in also head of sport for revelation TV in London. If I was not denied visa in 1994, I am sure I will still be a print person.

Seyi Law: Humour merchant extraordinaire!

Popularly known as Seyi Law, Oluwaseyitan Aletile Lawrence, one of Nigeria’s humour merchants who won AY Open Mic talent hunt show in 2006 has carved a niche for himself in the comedy industry. He spoke about his growing up, thought on the industry, his views on life and marriage among sundry issues. Yinka Lawal reports

 

What is your thought on the comedy industry?

The comedy industry is one of the most united industries in Nigeria. The comedians have learnt to respect each other. The senior colleagues and the upcoming ones respect each other. And [there is] unity among us, which is wonderful. In Nigeria, apart from the music industry, the comedy industry remains the fastest growing.

We have this “ball” and the “ball” is respecting people who have been there before you, giving them honour, when you respect some body, you will definitely get a level of leverage that will amaze people. It is just that we respect each other and we understand that this business deserves that you respect people before you and give them all the honour they deserve

If not comedy, what would you have done?

 I probably would have been a medical doctor. 

Between Biodun Okeowo and Wura Gold

Nollywood actresses ,Biodun Okeowo and  Wura Adesegha popularly known as Wura Gold are at each other throat.The two who have choosen to wash their dirty linen in the public accused each other of being a lesbian.

According to the information at our disposal, all efforts made by friends and colleagues to settle the rift between them proved abortive.

Days ago,Biodun Okeowo took to her BBM and posted “Wura Adesegha, everybody knows you are a stupid alabosi…as you have cursed my my kids so you shall not reap the fruit of your own kid too” as her personal message and someone close to them was said to have inquired why the light complexioned actress went to that extent and she revealed Wura tried to lure her into lesbianism

She said “Wura was my friend before and we were very good friends but I started to give her space when I started realizing the kind of person she truly was.

She told me she wants us to become lovers as in becoming Lesbians partner,I told her I wasn’t interested..And that was it. Wura started going around calling me names”

“And recently when some people called me Wura’s friend, I told them she is not my friend at least not anymore. And Liz Da Silva decided to settle the rift; she called us on a conference and when I told her why Wura was fighting me,Wura started to curse me and my children,that was what prompted by BBM update” she further explained.

Wura was however called to ask about her side of the story and she revealed it was the other way round.

“On the contrary it was Biodun okewo that asked me to become her lover and I turned her down, why would she turn things around.You can go and ask the likes of Anita Julius and Liz Dasilva at least they have slept in my house,if there was ever a time I made such silly advances at any of them” she said

Babatee finds love after he was dumped by older lover

Months after his relationship with his old lover,Yetunde Oduwole popularly known as Yetunde Burstline crashed,the actor cum comedian has found love in the arms of another lady.

In recent times,he has posted series of photos and videos with the said lady.

Rumour has it that the estrange love birds parted ways because of the age differences though the actor said he was receiving threat from her older lover.

Meanwhile, among other issues,Yetunde revealed Babatee wanted to have kids but they are not forth coming from her and because he felt there was no time,he moved on.

She added that the humour merchant claimed she abused him while the relationship lasted and that he never benefitted from her. “He never got a benefit but he was driving my car,I also furnished his house,paid his house rent in Nigeria.I bought him a Daewoo Tacoma car and 80% of the things in his house” she said
